Research
Major research interests have included marine intertidal ecology, "keystone predators", foodweb complexity and stability, especially the function of disturbance and temperature change as it impacts diversity and community structure in the Gulf of California.
Other areas of interest have included work on the Gulf of California Harbor Porpoise (Phocoena sinus),and intertidal ecology of the Kino Bay Region (Rocky Shores and Mangrove Estuaries)
